  what are your session manager settins? I mean, under:

    control center -> kde components -> session manager -> On login

  which option have you selected? If you have "Restore manually saved
  session", try manually saving your session (kde menu, save session, I
  think) after you've closed the windows and log in again.

  Give it a try.
