Starting of new session from other windowmanagers

Hi!

KDE has the nice feature that you can start a new session, better a new
X server if the screen is locked (or by clicking on ...).

What is the interface to this feature? Is it possible to do the very
same from within another windowmanager? (With kdm running of course.
I think this is not possible with some different display manager
running.)

Since some of us are running wmaker and some kde and some gnome, I would
like to have the same feature for all of them. I think a command line
utility which signals kdm that a new session/server should be started
would be a nice thing, or is this already possible with dcop?

(Please Cc: me any answer, thanks a lot)

BTW: debian/woody with kde31, gnome22 etc, or debian/sid, both I have
available.

Best wishes

Norbert
