kde3.0.1 debs, xmms and woody

Hi i have just installed the kde debs and i am very happy with my new kde
system. One thing is not working. If i install xmms and fire it up, iget a
lot of disk activity and the following message 

"libxml.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

If i try to install libxml with apt-get it will tell me to remove all of
the kde pacakage from my system. Is it me or does anyone wlse have this
problem.
