Yeah, I had a similair problem. I built kdelibs with objprelink, but this 
resulted in kde-config seg faulting.

I may try having a look at how binutils was compiled and re-compile it.

Shame, as objprelink provided a useful increase on SuSE 7.3 but doesn't work 
at all on woody :(
