Delete key in konsole

I seem to remember about 3 months ago someone posting how to get the keys 
working correctly in konsole.

At the moment my DEL key is acting like a backspace - I don't think I have 
changed anything except upgrade to later versions through unstable.

I seem to recall making some changes to /usr/share/apps/konsole directory

Does this ring any bells with anyone else?
