The Potato version is getting quite old and is no longer supported. For version 2.0.1, did you install it and the rest of KDE from the packages in Sid, and are they up to date? Does KDevelop load up properly and load your project properly? If so, can you open different files etc. before it crashes?
If you would like, I can send you packages with Debugging support. You could then send me the output from KDE crash monitor.
By the way I have KDevelop working properly in Sid on two computers, both up to date.
