In this case it is true that the number of rdeps is huge. You can look at the changes between the upstream versions and also use japi-compliance-checker. I did both and there is 100% of source compatibility according to the latter.
I tried replace ${VERSION} of jetty.links with ${env:VERSION} to suppress those dh-exec-subst-unknown-variable Info messages but failed.
OK, let's keep it as is, could you please update debian/source/lintian-overrides accordingly as there is obviously a mismatch in this override?
The previous work was merged into this new uploading.If anything needs to be fixed, please let me know. I need to explore more ground around debian policy.
I saw you put the new upstream version in the upstream and pristine-tar branches of the Salsa repo, but did not touch the master branch. Could you please update it with your changes?
Normally, importing new upstream versions with gbp-import-orig would do all the work for you.
After you have updated the Salsa repo with your changes about version 9.4.51-1 and the updated Lintian override discussed above, I will upload to experimental.
