I can relieve you of some basic mentoring work like reviewing packages,
explaining basic work flows and pointing the students in the right
directions. Normally all this works pretty well on this list by itself
but I felt that you needed a more definitive answer and probably a
contact person.

However I don't want to evaluate the student's work and I don't have any
specific goals in mind which they should accomplish. You can count me in
and I'm happy to help if you can live with my statements above.
