Sure, it comes from the libnotify-dev dependency. Debian experimental is using libnotify-dev version 0.7.0 which introduced a change in the notiy_notification_new() function so here is why the build failed. The upstream project doesn't want to introduce this change yet because libnotify 0.7.0 is not used enough.
