I could try to do a start but I would, obviously, need support and review from this list.

No, as free-java-sdk uses alterniatives to point to the VM its uses its
not predictable byt the build environment what VM it uses during build.
Debian packages need to use a predictable build environment like
Kaffe or SableVM or perhaps GCJ but thats not so easy currently.
This is where I see the problem: how to be sure the free and non-free environments are cleanly separated, and when should I use which environment.

MovingToMain is only about the status of debian packages that are not in
main yet. It would not be good to add a introduction into the free java.
Yep, wrong wording on my side: add a page to the Wiki hosting the above page. OK, this way?!

BTW: Free Java does not exist in reality and I would not recommend to
name anthing officially with Java in its name. Java is a registered
tradmark by SUN. The Fedora Java effort currently thinks about a name too...

I would call it "Classpath community" but this is only my personal
preference and I'm prejudiced because I'm part of GNU classpath project.
Why not 'Kawa'? Sounds good (to me) and it means coffee in Arab, Polish and French slang (though you don't write it this way)... And as slogan: 'better than free coffee' or 'better than a one-way trip to the Java island'...

Just my thoughts, Eric

PS: I'm on the list, no need to CC me!
