Ovvero trattasi di una VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP, verificando nel sito
VIA trattasi più specificatamente di chipset CN400.
Il portatile funziona con il driver vesa, mentre il corrente driver
xorg non supporta questa scheda.
Ravanando nel sito xorg ho visto che anno dei driver binari (non
liberi) per il framebuffer e per xfree/xorg.
Il framebuffer si compila facile e funziona (ma non con xorg con il
driver fb), ma per il driver xfree credo di essere costretto a
scaricare una tonnellata di header e librerie X.
Ho cercato in giro delle versioni precompilate (deb?) funzionanti su
ubuntu, ma non ne ho trovate...
Esiste qualche soluzione che posso tentare per avere una gestione del
video un ninin più decente? Grazie.
