Salve a tutti, non ho potuto rispondere prima perchè sono stato fuori per
lavoro.

>   - Copi il radeon.o in /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/char/drm/
>   - depmod -a
>   - da console (senza avviare X) ti assicuri di non avere nessun modulo
radeon
>   caricato; solo agpgart deve essere caricato ma con l'utilizzo a 0
>   - modprobe radeon
>   - avvii X
>   - provi con glxgears

questa è la procedura che ho seguito ma con risultati negativi.
Poi per essere sicuro che non dipendesse dal kernel ho compilato e installato
il 2.6-test9.

Non sembra ci siano errori (tranne i warning su alcuni font alla fine),
 ma quando faccio glxinfo:

con glxgears le prestazioni sono pietose.
Il kernel 2.6-test9 l'ho scaricato da kernel.org mentre l'xfree86 4.3 da
mmagallo.
A questo punto non so piu' che cosa fare.
