Chipset Neomagic e X4.2 con supporto XV

Per Debian son usciti da pochissimo i pacchetti "alpha" per X4.2; e'
obbligatorio essere aggiornati a Sid (forse basta anche testing).

Per aggiornare X, inserite in /etc/apt/sources.list la seguente riga:

        deb http://gremlin.tharsis.co.uk/x4.2 sid/i386/

(la pagina di riferimento e': http://people.debian.org/~branden/)

Scaricate da 
http://ltswww.epfl.ch/~dsanta/resources/soft/XFree86-4.2.0-6.62-neomagic_drv.o.gz

il driver aggiornato con il supporto per XV, sostituitelo (aka fate una
copia di backup del vecchio, rinominate il nuovo e copiatelo) a
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/neomagic_drv.o

Allego il mio file di configurazione (sono gestiti contemporaneamente il
mouse touchpad ed un eventuale mouse usb) per i pigroni ;-D


P.s. Per le altre distribuzioni: aggiornate a X4.2 e scaricate l' rpm
con il driver neomagic aggiornato.
