Re: Mailscanner + clamd and lstat error

The thing is when I look into an incoming message directory is empty.

Right after seeing this:
Clamd::ERROR:: UNKNOWN CLAMD RETURN ./lstat() failed. ERROR :: /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/32280

I do a:
# ls -l /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/32280
total 0

I have changed back from clamd to clamav in MailScanner.conf, and clamd is running again as clamav.

It's all a bit confusing...

I have changed /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming to drwxrwx--- so the group clamav can write/delete directories, but I get the same error

Thank you for the reply, I believe the groups and permissions are fine:

# ls -ld /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming
drwxr-x--- 199 postfix clamav 4096 2009-05-21 13:46 /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming

# ls -ld /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/925
drwxr-x--- 2 postfix clamav 4096 2009-05-21 13:47 /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/925

aha... and what about files under that directory?

clamav is runing as clamav, and user clamav is in the clamav group
Also "AllowSupplementaryGroups true" is set in /etc/clamav/clamd.conf

I don't know what's wrong, meanwhile I have changed clamav-daemon to run as root and now is working fine

I don't think this is a good solution...
