Dear List,
I have disovered that the StorageTek devices have a secondary mode
(AVT) so that they could be used with the multipath-tools.
Does anyone have the multipath-tools running with Debian sarge. The
ones that are in sarge seem very old. I am using
a backports copy of udev, and am compiling multipath-tools by hand. I
am running against a 2.6.15r2 kernel. QLogic FC HBA
I am a little confused as to how all this is ment to work together.
In dmesg I am seeing
device-mapper: dm-multipath: error getting device
device-mapper: error adding target to table
Any thoughts?
As the multipath-tools don't seem to be doing anything... multipath
0.4.6.1
I compiled the kernel myself (monolithic)
Thanks for your help,
Andrew

What do I need to do to run multipath? Does the qlogic (qla2xxx)
driver in the vanilla kernel support multipath? If so, do I need
to do something to enable it?
multipath-tools does a good job IMO of managing multipath devices.
I have done a fair bit of testing with it and it seems to work as
advertised. My testing has been using SuSE Enterprise Server 9 not
Debian but multipath-tools does appear to be in Debian as well.
You can get some information at http://
christophe.varoqui.free.fr/ ... as well (hopefully) by installing
the Debian package.
