Dear List,

Thanks for all the info - I now have a better understanding of how  
all this
san 'stuff' fits together. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the
storage system runs an active/passive setup for the controllers,
I am forced to use their RDAC drivers.

I am now using a Redhat kernel on my debian box

The drivers from qlogics drivers may also work, but these are also only
certified against a RedHat or SuSe kernel.
