Re: Smtp authentication with exim4

Tried the howto to setup the authentication and I'm not sure which part is failing for me. Can't tell if the login process is failing or if the relay isn't working properly.
All I get from the mail server is a relay message deny error.
What authentication sections should Ihave? Should I have a plain: section or a login: section or both?
Anyone know what Outlook Express will work with?
Also I tried secure password auth with inside outlok express and I get the same failers.

Hi, does anyone know how I can setup smtp authentication so that I can have
Outlook Express clients relay mail when they connect to my server?
I have some clients that have one provider at home and another provider at work and they don't want to have to allways change their smtp server setting
each time they change locations.

Using exim4 on Sid.

debian-administration.org has a little howto.
