That last one is a step backward... why would you want to switch
away from postfix???

To me, Maildir quota is not something an MTA should worry about, and
it's certainly nothing to do at RCPT time. Instead, it's something
the MDA should report to the MTA. And if you are willing to look at
it in this way, you can use Courier or Cyrus with your existing mail
server setup.
