Somehow I thought that would be the case. Engineers from almost every hardware manufacturer I ever talk to say that. :-)
Using this kernel, the machine boots a little way so I must have done*something* right, but I appear to have a console output problem, sinceconsole output stops after:You need to add console=ttySG0 as a boot parameter. The newer kernels nolonger use ttyS0 as a console.
Well, that's got me some way further, thanks. Care to mail me your .config so that I can build a kernel that actually, erm, works? :-)
