One more reason why the requested mailing list should be opened.
I do believe the requested mailing list should be opened.
In addition to the reasons that were already mentioned for that list,
I believe the following should be asserted:
As far as I know, currently there is no established frame work for
having text based application get their input and print their output in
a way that is bidi compliant. Discussions on the suggested mailing list
can show the real requirements. As an example, they will once more
demonstrate why
printf(wide characters: ""
"some text with a mixed RTL and LTR languages\n");
is more problematic then one might initially imagine and hopefully lead
to a reasonable solution.
In other words, bidi support is a fundamental problem. There fore it
should have a separated mailing list.
