Request for debian-l10n-bidi posted
I have filed as bug #253984 a request for adding a debian-l10n-bidi
mailing list aimed at dealing with specific topics related with the
support of right-to-left languages and bidirectional text support.
This topic has been raised with the Debian Installer translation work,
while the Hebrew and Arabic teams began working on these translations.
Farsi (Persian) recently started work also.
All this has been made possible with some hacking work for including
bidi support in the slang libraries.
The most difficult part (besides the technical part which was tricky)
was coordinating among all involved people by keeping growing
CC lists while exchanging mails..
This preliminary support now drives the need for a dedicated mailing
list.
If you feel such mailing list is needed, please add your voice to the
bug log by just sending it to 253984@bugs.debian.org
Of course, if you feel such mailing list is NOT needed, please mention
it there also....
