What should happen, you get an error message of course!
If you can successfully mount it, you are below the limit (note that
it is not exactly 1 GB. It is something between 1 and 2 GBs in fact.
The limit is not hard, but it depends on the virtual memory that the process
consumes. It might be that if you are very close to the limit, the
translator will in fact die during running, when it can't allocate any more
memory for the stuff it is doing).
