It shouldn't be. I keep a clean system, without shared
irq's
and still had this problem.  The advice i remember
getting
was to recompile GNUmach with ne2000 support.  I had
my ne2000
card at irq 10 or 11

However, I don't know if isapnp is ported to Hurd if
not, that is a good
place to start.  Micq is the other thing I plan to
port to the hurd if it
doesn't work off the bat.
