Newbie Alert!

Ok I have used the HURD once before but didn't understand much but the
shell.

I want to get my hands dirty this time.  I don't have it up and running
yet but I am planning to build a new system in the next month or so and
use my older one as linux/HURD.

Is there still a 1024 Meg limit on the partitions?

Also where is a good place to see how the MACH kernel and HURD servers
talk to each other?

I am glad to see posts about the ppp driver being worked on.  

Is there good serial support for modems?

I have tons of questions but I am very interested.
