The only references to alpha that I found on the GNU web site are in
the Easy Guide. Matthew, can you update your copy, too?

<!-- Changed to www.debian.org by gord -->
You also need some scripts, which are available on www.debian.org:
<ul>
<li><a
href="http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/cross-install";>http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/cross-install</a>
<li><a
href="http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/native-install";>http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/native-install</a>
<li><a
href="http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/dpkg-hurd";>http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/extra-files/dpkg-hurd</a>
</ul>
<p>

<!-- While I'm at it, changed to gnu-19990505.tar.gz by gord -->
There is an alternative, which is to grab a large .tar.gz of the basic
packages from <a
href="ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/hurd/contrib/marcus/gnu-19990505.tar.gz";>alpha.gn\
u.org/gnu/hurd/contrib/marcus/gnu-19990505.tar.gz</a>.

Thanks,
