random hurd hang ups (was: Re: dpkg-source -x *****s system

What you are experiencing is a very weired bug in the Hurd or GNU Mach.
It is not reproducible by special command sequences (Matthew, try
dpkg-source again, you may see that it is not at fault).

It happens sometimes, under which circumstances is unclear to me.
