switch of 712/100 with panel button

Hi all,

Pressing the button on the front panel of the box does not complete the
shutdown. Console says this but nothing happens (even waiting...):
--------------
Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 desmo ttyS0

desmo login: Shutdown requested...
Shutting down...

Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 desmo ttyS0

desmo login:
--------------

The only suspect thing is that I use _TWO_ internal scsi-discs!
The system is basically: debian woody initial release.
Shutting down manually with 'shutdown -h now' works perfect.
I know the message is spitted out from arch/parisc/kernel/power.c
but I don't get the trick...
