Yup; take an ISO install image and recreate that using the kernel.
Alternatively, create a lifimage on the 712 and rboot off that. It just
struck me that bouncing the disk image around seemed a touch excessive
and possibly error prone :-)

Thinking further, I guess a more optimal route might even be to put the
drive in the 712 and install onto it on there, put the kernel on the drive
then, then just transplant it back into the 715.
