ok, so i took the one in 712 since i have a 712/60 hp workstation.
it has the same entries so they seem to be ok.
the error at startx still is:
(EE) No OS PCI support available
(EE) FBDEV(0): FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO: Invalid argument
(EE) FBDEV(0): Mode init failed

the confusing point is that i have pci support compiled in the kernel.
from .config:
CONFIG_PCI=y
CONFIG_GSC_DINO=y
CONFIG_PCI_LBA=y
CONFIG_IOSAPIC=y
CONFIG_IOMMU_SBA=y
CONFIG_SUPERIO=y
CONFIG_PCI_NAMES=y

any suggestions?

bye
