binary is now provided by ghc. Besides causing the file conflict documented in #659081, having libghc-binary-dev still around causes some other problems. For one, if a package is built against the binary in ghc, and libghc-binary-dev is installed, ghc sees a conflict and hides the package that depends on binary. Some libraries are currently being built against libghc-binary-dev, and others against the one in ghc, and these libraries cannot be used at the same time due to the conflict between the binaries. -- see shy jo
