Of course - what we were talking about was an alternative setup where you
just use the kernel in flash to boot, load the SD driver, and then
pivot_root over to a full Debian installation on the SD/MMC card. In that
case the flash wouldn't be used except for the boot kernel and a really
minimal setup to get the pivot_root working, so there'd be space left
over.

I'm not worried about that, the current way is easy to work around. I
consider the init.d stuff to be part of the configuration that you switch
around to match what you want in any case :-)
