The version number 0.0.8-rc2 will be considered LATER than 0.0.8 by
dpkg/apt, so when the release occurs you won't get the upgrade
automatically.
The solution is to use the number 0.0.8~rc2 - the tilde forces the
following portion to sort before an empty string (ie 0.0.8~rc2 < 0.0.8).
