In no way was my message intended to disparage your work. I never
looked at it and I did not comment upon it.
My point, that was probably too carefully hidden, was that this is the
Debian Hams mailing list and Debian is the distribution of choice for
those of us that value Free Software. Free Software and Debian have
progressed to the point that, it seems to me at least, that the Non-Free
portion of the distribution is a very low priority. It stands to reason
that not much enthusiasm would exist on this list for an Echolink on
Debian HOWTO.
For me, at least, GPL'ed software is more than just a free W*****s
replacement. It's the freedom to learn from those more skilled than I
and to experiment to extend my knowledge.
