You don not now, so it is now o.k.
I just want to prevent other people from making the same mistake hi...

you can send a talk message to the other nodes with:

"messagemessagemessage
 not with
:messagemessage

tlf uses the *quote* character for talk...

Yes you can....
1.: type the call into the call input field
2.: use SPACE to tab into the exchange field
3.: now tlf will fill in the zone like in cw mode.
(this is true for cqww only)

huh?? I have not seen this during the last 3 weeks of testing...
In my setup the stn delivering the cluster info does not send the info again.
Maybe your cluster works differently? DX-SPIDER will not resend any x info at
reconnect... Which cluster are you using? (internet? what software?)
(A later version will take the dupes out of the bandmap
anyway. This is on the todo list).

If you have to restart a node there is a simple recipe:
Get the log from another node with ftp, merge it with the log you have on
this node (using the unix "sort | unique" routine...) and restart. That's
all. You could even write a short batch file for that. If you want, I can
show you how.
Tlf will then have a complete call/multiplier array and the right score (tlf
keeps the same log at every node, and rescores the log at restart....!!).
