Printing and gnumeric broken

For the past week (maybe two), printing has been broken in GNOME
applications. I am running unstable, with this extra line in my
sources.list

deb http://pkg-gnome.alioth.debian.org/debian unstable main

>From what I remember, this started happening after an upgrade to
libgnomeprint (which is version 2.8.0.1) and an upgrade to libgnomecups.

At the same time, gnumeric started to take a long time to startup.

When I request to print something from gedit I get this on the terminal:
(gedit:24670): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: iconv does not support
ppd character encoding: ISOLatin1, trying CSISOLatin1

(gedit:24670): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: The ppd file for the
CUPS printer Stylus_C82 could not be loaded.

I get the same from just starting gnumeric.

The programs both hang at this point.

Anyone else experiencing this?
