GDK_USE_XFT isn't only the solution. With the latest libxrender1 package
0.8.3-4 we are now able to select a font in the sawfish configurator, this
was not the case with 0.8.3-2, but now fonts are broken in
gnome-terminal (size is more small than the size selected).
