Its worth pointing out that a lot of the bugs currently reported in the
debian bts are fixed, and some have been for quite a while. The RC bug
is fixed in CVS.

For instance in a quick glance through the debian bts

#196646, #205434, #200012, #190142, #106884, #189988, #191696, #186862,
#186862, #143950 are all fixed

#190159 - the view source in external editor is not missing, right click
on the page, open with -> emacs

#112369 was reported upstream, then closed as a problem on the debian
side

#182486, #191413, #192420, #197320 are all fixed using moz 1.4

#138417 is no longer relevant for galeon 1.3.x

There is a difference between usability and missing options...

The problem with release CVS snapshots is that that is what they are,
you can't expect a snapshot to be as stable as a proper release. For
instance the latest snapshot 20030813 has quite a major bug that causes
lockups and crashes.

The focus problems are known about, as Christope pointed out they exist
in all gtkmozembed browsers, yes even epiphany has problems.

What gnome and red hat have of have not included really shouldn't impact
on whether galeon is in debian. If you want to play that game it is also
worth pointing out that ximian use gnome over epiphany.
