No, there are slink users (and this is what matters, GNOME is in
unstable) that run GNOME 0.3 from the CDs. Others use the staging
area. Therefore I want the release notes (also to show them possible
bugs like lock ups and how to prevent them).

The packages in slink have to have a lower revision number than the
ones available in potato, so an update is possible, even if there were
no new version in unstable after the move from the unstable-staging to
unstable.

Sure. But this is for stable. If it were for unstable, I would agree
wholeheartly.

No. If debian.org is not ready archivewise, when everything else is in
place, the informations on the debian.org webpages will point to the
gnome mirrors.
