What is your justification for the "critical" tag? Breaks entire system?
Causes serious data loss? I'd probably downgrade this to "important".

That could mean almost anything. In particular, it could mean that atftpd has
corrupted random data or done double-frees.

Could you try running atftpd through valgrind and see if that pinpoints your
