I just got an answer from Gerry where he confirmed that the output of
his program which I send him (see wwwgnats, report 1098) is correct
with the current glibc 2.1.1 version.
Since the latest Debian unstable release contains the same version
that I'm running, you might consider closing the debian report (I'm
closing the upstream report soonish).
