Sandro sent two posts about what we can expect for spatialite-gui 2.0.0
and librasterlite2 to the spatialite-users list today [1][2].

The first thread mentions the recent change in spatialite-gui 2.0.0 to
not require librasterlite2 by default anymore. This allows the
spatialite-gui 2.0.0 pre-release to accompany libspatialite 4.3.0 final
without pulling in the unstable librasterlite2 dependency.

The second thread describes the plans for librasterlite2, spatialite-gui
& libspatialite for 2015, early 2016. It makes it clear that the
librasterlite2 stable release won't have priority over the new Topology
feature to be developed for SpatiaLite, and that the stable releases of
librasterlite2 and spatialite-gui 2.0.0 aren't expected soon.

The spatialite support in spatialite-gui is stable, so I think we should
include the spatialite-gui 2.0.0 pre-release as part of the spatialite
transition, but keep librasterlite2 in experimental until its stable
release.
