With the backported GDAL 1.11.0 support in libLAS thanks to Ross Gammon
libLAS no longer blocks the GDAL transition.

This is still a point of concern, but likely not a blocker for the GDAL
transition.
Hamish has updated GRASS for OSGeo-Live but didn't want to push those
changes to git.d.o, preferring to coordinate with Francesco.
There didn't seem to be any issues with the update to 6.4.4, some
patches are now applied upstream which can now be dropped. If neither
Francesco nor Hamish steps up to update GRASS to 6.4.4, I'll do it as it
has been annoying me quite a while now.
Since my last round of rebuilds for GDAL 1.11.0 ncl has been updated to
6.2.0-2. It cannot be rebuilt currently due to uninstallable build
dependencies:

libhe5-hdfeos0 : Depends: libhdf5-8 which is a virtual package.
A transition for openscenegraph is planned from 3.2.0~rc1-5.1 to
3.2.1-1.
qlandkartegt was updated to 1.7.7-2.
sumo was updated to 0.21.0+dfsg-1.
xastir was updated to 2.0.4-2.
saga 2.1.2+dfsg-1 cannot migrate to testing due to a FTBFS on arm*,
which needs to be fixed before the GDAL transition. Otherwise the saga
2.1.0+dfsg-1 will be broken in testing.
qgis 2.4.0-1~exp1 is still in experimental, it FTBFS on arm* due to a
typical qreal issue. Ideally we fix this before the GDAL transition too.
