[DebianGIS] [frankie@debian.org: OpenDAP license is LGPL]
Alastair
FYI I'm going to upload a delayed NMU package if I won't receive
answers in a reasonable time frame. It appears to me that the license
change is an oversight, not due to any evident reason (e.g. linking of
more restrictive libraries).
Cheers

Subject: OpenDAP license is LGPL
X-Mailer: reportbug 4.11
Package: libdap
Version: 3.9.3-5
Severity: important
On the basis of upstream sources, OpenDAP is released under LGPL-2.1 not
the 'viral' GPL as stated in debian/copyright. That prevents linking OpenDAP by
a series of third-parties software such as netcdf (v 4.1.1) or hdf5 (1.8+)
without changing their licenses too (and that of a other not related software
such as mapserver). Please, explain why or change back the Debian
license information ASAP.
