I guess you are looking at  http://packages.debian.org/qgis

Yes, it will be automatically built, it just takes a day or two to
filter through the automatic build queues. i386 just happened to show up
first.

for package build status see:
  http://packages.qa.debian.org/q/qgis.html

soon there will be "out of date on <>:" listed for platforms which lag
behind. (esp when low priority and too new on the queue)
