Since the dos/unix conversion thing has come up
a few times with AIG format, I have modified the driver
to recognise and report the corrupt header properly.
BTW, I suspect discussions like this ought to have been
held on the gdal-dev list unless you are pretty convinced
they are specific to the debian packaging of GDAL.
