[Pkg-fonts-devel] How to make font packages

Hello!

I have some TTF fonts I want to use on different machines, so I want to package them.

I want to save the procedure of getting through all the manual font integration. Per user settings are not pratical for me.

I've found some tutorials about installing fonts with Google, but they diverge, are partially outdated and often have comments like "there is some magic behind this commands that won't be explaned here" or "I don't exactly know if this is the best way, but it worked for me". So I have no idea where to find The Definitive Guide to Install Fonts in Debian (Now with all the Details). That is, this is what I'm looking for.

For now I'd be very glad if someone could point me to a document which tells me how to build font packages, or how to install fonts properly, and how fonts are handled in Debian.

Thanks

Patrick
