VICTORY ! After three days of self questioning, I finally did it ! I
tried every option tcpdump has, and finnaly ran into the "do not do
reverse lookup one". And a "tcpdump -n | grep <interesting port>" works
!!! Thank you for your support, guys,seems tcpdump goes kuckoo when it
deals with a very slow DNS server. Dunno, it just works now.
And the mysql problem.. obviously google solved my problem. I had local
access to the server, but no remote access. The problem was
"skip_networking" in my.cnf.
