Re: dns firewalls and mx records for internally hosted domains

Hi, no mx records are in the internal server. I need to leverage the external dns as much as possible. It is a real pain to keep the two synchronized with diff IPs for the same hosts and mx's.

You don't mention whether you have input MX records into the internal DNS server - do they point to a mail server externally? What is generating the 'unroutable address' error - the MUA, or an MTA in the path somewhere?
