I have not worked with debian never before I have this embedded system, in this moment I am with other things, on Monday will try to re-install the php, this time will try with php4. Also I'll change the repositories to see if I can move on to etch. On Monday I mention how I was and gave me errors if any, thanks

Can you post the error messages?

I have a system, which is NOT supported by kernels >2.6.18 and I use the
old kernel, but the system does install php5 very well under Lenny.

PHP has nothing to do with the Kernel.

There must be an other error
