Hi Neil!

Thank you for having cc:ed the pkg-fso-maint@ mailing list, please
continue to do so, TIA.

To everyone, please read this mail *entirely* before replying, there are
some important information I put at the end on purpose.

FYI, with hal installed I do not need any tslib configuration for X11.

However, am I the only one who does not want hal?

Of all the packages above, I do not see why we would want console-* and
kbd* packages by default on Openmoko phones (which do not have any real
keyboard). pm-utils is useless as well, since the only power-management
action (i.e., suspension) is done through `apm -s`.

I know I am fighting like Don Quixote, since starting from version
1:7.4~5 xserver-xorg depends on both hal and the evdev input driver [1],
but I would not exchange 9MB with an automatic configuration, especially
on devices which are very specific WRT their components.

Should I file a bug requesting demotion of hal and the evdev input
driver to Recommends: instead?

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
